13 Reasons Why Amazon Prime is Worth 13$ a Month

Anyone who shops on amazon as much as I do knows about Prime. The free shipping for a 13 dollar fee per month. Honestly there is so much more to it. 1. Free one day shipping

I know this is their whole thing but some people don't know that you can get items the next day. I have had stuff delivered the same day. Amazon is mind blowingly fast. The savings come in with people (like myself) who get items on Amazon the free shipping pays for itself but I know this isn't the case for everyone. However expedited shipping is expensive and you don't have to pay that extra fee with prime.

Prime video by itself costs 10$ a month but for 3$ more you get free shipping and other goodies too. Even at the 13$ a month it still competes price wise fiercely with Netflix at 13.99$ a month. Hulu basic is 6.99 but you don't even get everything and there's commercials. to get commercial free on hulu 10.99$. With prime you get access to exclusive shows and movies and it's all ad free.

Prime music is free with your membership. you get to have ad free listening, podcasts, playlists and stations. This service does not offer as many songs as their unlimited version but if you want the unlimited version you get a 20% discount with prime! Prime music is a really good alternative to spotify if you can't afford 10$ a month for spotify or just want to give a music streaming service a try.

How do free books, magazines, and newspapers sound? If you are a reader this probably sounds pretty amazing. Its got a lot to do with why I got prime in the first place. Each month they offer new books to read for free. They have tons of popular titles. With Prime you can "rent" up to 10 books per adult out of all the prime titles.

With your membership you actually get coupons to save you money! To access these you can either search it in the search bar or click the bar at the top of the screen where it says "coupons". When you "clip" the digital coupon its automatically added to your order of that item. Who doesn't love coupons?

With prime you get free unlimited photo storage! Google Photos doesn't even have an unlimited storage offer, the biggest they offer is 2 terabytes for 10$ a month. For unlimited storage on Dropbox its a whopping 25$ a month, and that is just for storage! With prime you get unlimited photo storage at original resolution and other goodies too!

Once a year amazon has what is called "Prime Day" where for two full days prime members get deep discounts. The best discounts are on Amazon brand items but, there are other brand items as well.

Amazon has a pharmacy now and you can get your meds sent to you at no extra cost! With prime you get free two day shipping on all your medicines. If you don't have insurance you can get discounts on your prescriptions which makes them much more affordable.

9. Prime Gaming

With prime you get free monthly Twitch Subscription, free in game loot, and 5 free pc games per month! The perfect for any type of gamer and once again its free with prime!

10. prime wardrobe

In the world of subscription boxes there is no real surprise that amazon has gotten in on that. They now have a box you can get for clothing. They are different than the ones I have tried in that you don't have to pay anything to receive the box. Most of these like stitch fix, flyp, ect. they charge about 20$ to send you something, amazon doesn't tho theirs is free! You just pay for what you keep.

11. Coupons When Opting For Slower Shipping

Although fast free shipping is the hallmark of prime, you can opt for slower shipping if you don't mind waiting and doing so literally pays off. When ordering sometimes when you check out they will offer credit for waiting a little longer to get your items. When you are ordering multiple items you can sometimes even get them sent in one big box and get free account credit!

12. Exclusive Savings Daily

With prime every day you qualify for "Lightning Deals" which are limited time, limited quantity deals. These are for anything and everything and they are always available. They also have Prime Exclusive deals every day that aren't limited quantity.

13. Prime Grocery

Certain areas qualify for same day shipped groceries, and unlike with instacart it is completely free with prime! You can also pick up groceries as well that you order from special hubs. IF you don't live near these places you can still get sent non refrigerated items and most are cheaper than at the grocery store. If you live near a whole foods you can also get a 10% discount if you are a prime member!
