Spring is in the air there are cute baby animals everywhere and Flowers are in bloom. The only thing that seems so not be blossoming is your savings account! I know it's hard to save money when you're strapped for cash, after all money doesn't grow on trees! Worry not though, here are some ways you can make your savings account blossom.

Start saving a certain percent of your paycheck
Truth be told, this one is the hardest recommendation if you don't have a ton of money. That being said, this is a solid way to begin to save money. The amount you save doesn't have to be high it just needs to be something and it helps if it is consistent. Bottom line, make a plan to save a percent of your check or a dollar amount even if the dollar amount is just $5 or $10, that is money in that savings account that you didn't have before.
Turn your hobby into a hustle
This recommendation requires the most work but is a great way to make a little extra money when you have a profitable hobby. Anything handmade will sell on the internet to the right crowd. Alternatively if you like to shop you can resell the items you find to make a little cash. With the cash you make from your favorite hobby you can start to put the profit back into a savings account.
Invest in stocks
I know this one is scary, but if you don't mind the risk then it can work out great. Do your due diligence on what you invest in and your money can grow into a nice savings account. Just be careful and don't put in what you can't lose and you will be fine. Think of the money as gone when you put it in and if you make a good profit then fantastic! Put that money back into your savings account.
Put back part of your monetary gifts
Okay so maybe you don't have spare money from your paychecks, you can still put back money that came in the form of a gift. It doesn't have to be the whole gift, just part of it is fine again it doesn't have to be a lot of money either even if it's just $10 or $20 its money in your savings you didn't have before!
Start a change jar
This is one of the absolute easiest ways to save money. I personally don't like change, I forget its in my bag and rarely use it so I started using a change jar so that when I do have change I can just toss it in there and then into my savings account when it is full. Bonus tip: if your bank has one of the change machines use it, typically it won't charge you to use it and you can pretty easily have the clerk to put the money in your account while you are there.
Use what you need of your paycheck and save the rest.
This is honestly my personal favorite, life is constantly changing and depending on your line of work, so is your paycheck. This means sometimes you have an extra $100 or only $5. Saving this way means you don't have to feel bad if you only have the $5 because you put in $100 last pay check. It gives you breathing room and if you are generally responsible you likely will have a good amount of money at the end of the month to put up.
